Position Summary
MEPPI's IT organization is seeking a dedicated IT Support Technician to join our team. The IT Support Technician will play a crucial role in providing technical assistance to our employees, maintaining IT infrastructure, and contributing to the smooth operation of our organization. The ideal candidate should have a strong technical background, excellent communication skills, and a passion for delivering top-notch IT support.
Essential Functions
- Provide analysis, diagnosis, and resolution of problems with workstation hardware, software, networked peripheral devices, and networked hardware and software products.
- Collaborate with other members of the end user support team to resolve problems in a timely manner.
- Assist with software and hardware upgrades and new implementations.
- Support, maintain, and troubleshoot software management systems.
- Support, maintain, and troubleshoot all multimedia related devices such as projectors, video screens, video conferencing equipment, and intelligent whiteboards.
- Respond to incoming support requests via phone, email, or ticketing system in a timely and courteous manner.
- Assist end-users with technical issues related to hardware, software, networking, and other IT-related problems.
- Walk users through step-by-step troubleshooting processes to identify and resolve issues.
- Install, configure, and update software applications and operating systems.
- Support, maintain, upgrade, and troubleshoot all corporate software.
- Further the goals and positive, professional image of the IT Department by conducting business with other MEPPI departments, consultants, suppliers, etc., in a timely and cooperative manner.
Qualifications
- Associate’s degree in a computer related field with 2-4 years of experience as a computer/network technician, or equivalent education and experience.
- Intermediate knowledge of PC repair, configuration, MS Windows, MS Office, SCCM or similar platform and other current Company operating system platforms and applications.
- Basic knowledge of network concepts including TCP/IP, Windows Networking, and Windows Security.
- Intermediate interpersonal and communication skills required to communicate with employees and vendors.
- Intermediate analytical and problem-solving skills.
