Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate OB Registered Nurse to join a dedicated Women’s Health team. This is an Auto-Offer Unit contract role ideal for resilient, team-oriented RNs with a passion for providing high-quality obstetric care in a critical access hospital setting. Candidates should be confident in their labor and delivery skill set and adaptable to a dynamic unit with fluctuating census.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive nursing care for patients across Labor & Delivery, Postpartum, Nursery, and post-op GYN cases.
- Adhere to AWHONN nurse-to-patient ratio standards for safe, quality maternal and newborn care.
- Triage and manage labor patients, assist with admissions, discharges, and care transitions.
- Complete accurate documentation using EPIC EHR system.
- Respond to emergencies and assist with deliveries and potential surgical interventions.
- Collaborate closely with OB/GYN physicians, pediatricians, and the wider interdisciplinary team.
- May be required to float to Med/Surg, ER, or ICU for basic tasks (e.g., vital signs, call lights, patient histories); no patient assignment or isolation room coverage.
- Maintain equipment, perform restocking, and assist with unit hygiene and efficiency.
- Provide exceptional patient-centered care across the lifespan with empathy and professionalism.
Required Qualifications:
- Active RN License – Wisconsin
- Basic Life Support (BLS) – American Heart Association
- Advanced Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)
- EPIC charting experience
- Minimum 2 years of OB nursing with Labor & Delivery experience
- At least 1 completed travel assignment
- Critical Access Hospital experience (Highly Preferred)

Pay: $2,412.00 - $2,758.00 per week
