What are the responsibilities and job description for the Admissions Recruiter position at Moraine Valley Community College?
The Admissions Recruiter is responsible for creating and expanding the awareness of Moraine Valley Community College within the college district. The recruiter is responsible for providing informational advice to prospective students regarding admission to the college, educational options and support services available to students. The Admissions Recruiter will focus on the recruitment of both adult and high school learners. The recruiter will conduct outreach at district high schools, businesses, libraries and community based organizations as well as conduct on campus recruitment events. The Admissions Recruiter will split recruitment efforts between adult and high school learners. The split will be determined by the strategic goals of the Admissions department. Admissions Recruiter will lead and create reports of Dual Credit students with the transitioning process to become students of Moraine Valley Community College. Serve as a liaison with the dual credit department. The admissions recruiter will provide regular updates and status reports of initiatives focusing on adult learners.
Education/Experience
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in appropriate field; one to three years of experience in recruitment and marketing initiatives, preferably in higher education. Experience developing and executing strategic plans. Experience working with diverse populations. Experience working with adult and high school learners.
Qualifications
The Admissions Recruiter position requires extensive interaction with the public; must have excellent written, verbal communication and organizational skills; ability to manage many projects at one time; ability to plan and implement projects and events; high energy and enthusiasm; knowledge of educational marketing and recruitment practices; technology competence a must; ability to work weekends and evenings and travel off campus; must be sensitive to the needs of a diverse student population; bilingual preferred; plus other duties as assigned.
