Department OverviewMotorola Solutions Worldwide Education is responsible for creating innovative training strategies, as well as the design, development, and delivery of technical and end-user training content across the MSI solutions/product portfolio. Our training services address the educational needs of our Motorola Solutions customers, partners and employees, enabling each group to be more efficient, effective, as well as ensure established business and operational outcomes are met.Job DescriptionThis dynamic role will be responsible for delivering North America (NA) technical training classes for service partners, employees, and customers. The person filling this role will primarily provide technical instruction on various Motorola Solutions Video Surveillance and Access Control Solutions, including Analytics and AI Applications. The position involves working with Avigilon Unity Products and Management Systems, with room for expansion in the future.
The candidate filling this role works closely with NA Education Team, Content Managers, Account Managers, Customer Service Managers, and Project Managers as well as other teams to provide comprehensive training delivery to ensure the highest level of knowledge transfer to the students. The driving goal of the Technical Trainer is to ensure training delivery is provided to the students so that they are equipped to install, configure, use, operate and maintain their MSI Video Security and/or Access Control solutions and products in the most effective and efficient way, driving student satisfaction and a strong relationship with all training audiences.
This position is ideally based in our Allen, Texas facility. Depending on experience, candidates may also be in the Chicago Suburbs, Boston, Fresno, or Fort Lauderdale.
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Training delivery, development, administration, planning, and execution of training events
- Measure knowledge transfer and training effectiveness
- This position requires someone who is independent, demonstrates strong technical and instructional skills, is detail-oriented, is adept at multitasking, and is willing to travel to multiple locations across North America.
- Ability to work independently on assigned projects
- The position requires someone who can prioritize the work to ensure the accurate and timely execution of deliverables.
- Demonstrate training effectiveness through systematic program evaluation and continuous improvement strategy
- Manage all hardware, software, classroom, and lab equipment expectations required to deliver training in a classroom setting
- Travel requirements: up to 50%, with domestic and occasional international travel requirements to meet business needs
A successful candidate will have a well-rounded combination of the following:
- 2 years of technical training experience
- Working knowledge of Motorola Solutions Technology
- Experience with Video Security and/or Access Control Solutions
- Training Certificate from a professional certifying body
- Proficient in various Office Productivity suites
- Proficient in various Virtual Training platforms
- Proven presentation skills and experience

Basic Requirements- HS diploma or equivalent
- 2 years of technical, technical training, customer service, and/or technical sales experience
