Mount Alvernia Academy, a Franciscan Catholic elementary school, is seeking a
Fourth-grade homeroom teacher for the 2025-2026 school year. This is a full-time position. Ideal candidates will have a strong Math background and prior teaching experience in an elementary school academic setting. The applicant must believe in and practice our Franciscan mission, demonstrate a love and respect for students, and be committed to instilling a passion for learning in each one. Experience with integrating technology to enhance learning is essential.
In addition, candidates must demonstrate excellent organizational, written and verbal communications skills; have the ability to multitask; be able to coordinate projects and schedules in a fast-paced environment; integrate Chromebook usage and Google Classroom into practice and be a positive team player with a desire to contribute and share their gifts and talents with the students and administration of the school.
Regular attendance is a necessary function. Consistent, reliable, and punctual attendance is essential for the supervision and instruction of the students. While performing the duties of this job, the teacher is frequently required to kneel, stoop, bend, and/or crouch. The teacher is periodically required to stand while talking and listening. The teacher is occasionally required to sit, walk, and may be required to lift and/or move objects weighing up to 25 lbs.
