Evaluation Period: Annual performance evaluations if the student works the entire academic year. If the student works one semester, the performance evaluation will be completed after that semester.
Purpose: Manage social media, assist with events, administrative tasks, and provide support to the CEEC.
Primary contacts: CEEC staff, students, faculty, staff, employers, visitors and other members of the University community.
Supervision Received: Works toward a previously defined objective with little supervision and uses a wide range of procedures; plans and arranges own work based on deadlines; refers people and situations direct supervisor or Director as appropriate.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Greet and assist students, faculty/staff, employers, and visitors in the Career Center.
- Make copies, send facsimiles, answer phones, take/retrieve messages, manage email/calendars/schedules, and other basic functions related to business and office operations.
- Collaborate and communicate with CEEC staff, co-op students, student workers, and others to complete assigned projects in a timely manner.
- Assist in organizing materials for class preparation, meetings, activities, events, or office use.
- Provide support to staff members with the preparation and execution of CEEC sponsored events.
- Manage all social media accounts (e.g. Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn) for CEEC by developing/sourcing content, scheduling posts, creating graphics, writing stories, and/or taking photographs as needed.
- Maintain physical and Instagram Career Wear stores by managing inventory, posting products, promotion of services, and assisting students with professional dress needs.
- Maintain inventory of CEEC promo items and assist with organizing office/storage areas, with opportunity to assist with ordering
- Assist with Talent Opportunity Program events and meetings as necessary.
- Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled student at Mount St. Joseph University
- Matriculating in a baccalaureate degree program.
- Must meet Federal Work Study Program requirements
- At least junior in good standing with demonstrated communication (written and verbal), and computer skills, including Microsoft Office products, Social Media, etc.
- Previous knowledge and use of social media and marketing and experience with Adobe Design programs and/or videography a plus.
- Ability to work on own initiative, independently, and to deadlines
- Well organized, punctual, and reliable
- The ability to communicate sensitively and tactfully, both orally and in writing, with individuals at all levels within the University.
