Purpose of Position: Support the School of Education through social media management, event assistance, and general administrative tasks that promote the department's programs and initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Social Media & Marketing
- Manage and schedule posts across platforms (Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn).
- Create graphics, write captions, and take photos/videos to highlight departmental news, events, and student achievements.
- Collaborate with faculty and staff to develop engaging content and messaging.
- Assist with digital marketing materials such as flyers and newsletters.
- Departmental Support
- Coordinate and manage educational supplies and resources.
- Perform data entry and maintain accurate records.
- Run occasional errands on campus.
- Support faculty with event planning and preparation.
Qualifications
- Currently enrolled at Mount St. Joseph University (Education major preferred).
- Eligible for Federal Work Study.
- Experience with social media content creation and marketing is a plus.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Familiarity with social media platforms and basic graphic design tools (e.g., Canva)
- Organized, reliable, and able to work independently.
- Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks.
- Comfortable using Microsoft and Google applications
