Summary:
The Group Sales Manager will be responsible for driving revenue growth and expanding group business opportunities by specializing in venues and experiences for outbound group sales packages. This role will focus on key properties, including Brian Head Resort and Brian Head Lodge.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead Group Sales Strategy: Oversee all aspects of the group sales function to achieve resort goals, including revenue growth and increased visitation.
- Develop and Manage Group Sales Programs: Design and implement programs to attract groups for weddings, exclusive resort access, hotel blocks, bulk ticket and season pass purchases, business partnerships, and large-scale events.
- Promote Resort Offerings: Represent the full spectrum of resort experiences, customizing proposals to showcase hotel amenities, wedding packages, and seasonal activities. Present compelling packages tailored to client needs.
- Client Onboarding and Coordination: Manage initial client interactions, proposals, and contract arrangements. Ensure seamless handoffs to the event coordination team for flawless event execution.
- Exceptional Group Experience: Serve as the primary point of contact for groups, ensuring a streamlined, enjoyable experience through proactive communication and outstanding customer service.
- Collaborate with Resort Leadership: Communicate group needs with key department managers and maintain strong inter-departmental relationships to deliver exceptional service.
- Maximize Opportunities: Identify periods of low visitation or revenue and strategize to attract appropriate group business during those times.
- Database Management: Maintain a comprehensive database of past, current, and potential group clients. Use data to forecast group sales by week, month, and year.
- Sales Tracking & Analysis: Accurately record group sales, analyze performance, and implement creative ways to increase sales and productivity.
- Master Calendar Oversight: Manage a master calendar of all group bookings and events to track and plan for all upcoming activities.
- Conflict Resolution: Address and resolve group-related issues, ensuring satisfaction while protecting the company’s interests.
- Community Engagement: Build industry contacts to stay informed about market opportunities. Actively engage with the local community to strengthen relationships and brand awareness.
- Leadership Assistance: Lead or coordinate with outsourced resources to support day-of-event activities when necessary.

Expected Work Hours:
- Full-Time Year-Round
- Expected 40 hours per week; flexibility in schedule due to salaried status.
- Must be able to work weekends, some holidays, and occasional evenings depending on group needs.
Compensation and Benefits:
- $60-75K annually

Qualifications
- Proven experience in a sales-driven role, ideally in the hospitality, resort, or events industry.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to set and exceed revenue goals and KPIs in a competitive sales environment.
- Strong cold calling and outbound sales experience.
- A deep understanding of events, resort, and hospitality operations is a plus.
- Proficiency with CRM tools and sales software is a bonus.
- Passion for the outdoor industry
