As a Medical Assistant / EMT you will work directly with our clients to ensure that qualified medical professionals are available to them. This role will assist in ensuring that the patients’ medical needs are met with consistency, care and accuracy.
Duties and responsibilities :
Assist with clinic patients as needed.
Coordinates with providers of the Natsu Health Clinic to provide clinical care.
Other duties as assigned by Clinic Coordinator.
Communicates using appropriate protocol.
Performs other special projects and tasks as assigned.
Maintains confidentiality of patient, institutional and staff information.
Adheres to professional and legal standards.
Participates in meetings and projects.
Able to perform all duties in a timely manner.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities :
Knowledge of general clinical practices.
Ability to establish working relationships with staff, patients / families and the public.
Ability to assess available resources to provide patient care.
Ability to accurately take all vital signs.
Perform EKG, phlebotomy and CLIA waived tests.
Must have good spelling, grammar and ability to correctly document patient encounters.
Knowledge of electronic medical record system use.
Knowledge of general computer, and word processing system use.
Ability to administer medication within your scope of practice.
Provide first-aid treatment, such as bandaging wounds.
Provide life support care, such as cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), when needed.
Assess a patient’s conditions and provide initial treatment.
Determine whether a patient needs to go to a clinic, ER, or trauma center.
Communicate with other emergency services, such as firefighters and police officers, to respond to calls for help.
The ability to work long hours without lowering the quality of care they provide.
The ability to provide care in stressful situations.

Education / Experience :
One (1) year of Medical Assistant experience.
The minimum qualifications for this position are gained through certification.
Must possess a valid State of Utah MA and, or EMT certifications, or the ability to obtain them.
High school graduate
