What are the responsibilities and job description for the Cook position at New Paths Inc?
We are looking for a Cook who not only enjoys preparing great tasting meals, but also cares about people and providing a high level of service to our clients.
This candidate could work a part-time schedule between the hours of 6:30 am and 6:00 pm. Approximately 25 to 30 hours per week.

RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Perform meal preparation and prepare meals in accordance with prescribed menus and recipes.
2. Follow all health department standards in food quality, food safety, and proper food handling.
3. Strong sense of urgency in performing duties necessary to keep the kitchen clean and organized.
4. Perform routine checks to assure that storerooms are locked, clean and secure.
5. Ability to tend to special diet needs of residents.
6. Support and adhere to the New Paths, Inc. Code of Ethics, work rules, policies, plans and procedures to promote a safe and secure environment for the residents, visitors and employees.
7. Report any problems and/or need for assistance to the Kitchen Manager
8. Must be able to work well with others.
9. Perform any other duties assigned by the Kitchen Manager
REQUIRED ABILITIES AND MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Required:
1. One year experience in cooking for large groups.
2. Ability and desire to interact professionally and respectfully with residents.
3. Ability to stand for long periods of time. Ability to take stairs.
4. Ability to lift 25 pounds.
