What are the responsibilities and job description for the Accounting Assistant position at North Central Health Care?
Purpose of the Position
The Accounting Assistant will prepare monthly financial summaries, be responsible for internal auditing, and other reporting requirements related to financial statement preparation.
Education and Experience Requirements
Required:
Two-year associate degree in Accounting or a related field or obtain within 2 years from date of hire, or certification from an accredited school.
1-3 years of experience of accounting administrative support involving posting financial data to ledgers, preparing invoices, billings and/or vouchers, reviewing and coding financial information, and maintaining account balances
Preferred:
3-5 years of experience of accounting administrative support involving posting financial data to ledgers, preparing invoices, billings and/or vouchers, reviewing and coding financial information, and maintaining account balances
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Prepares and enters journal
- Conducts bank account
- Prepares monthly financial summaries as
- Provides budget
- Assists with the annual financial
- Performs account reconciliation for other balance sheet accounts.
- Conducts internal reviews and
- Assists with weekly accounts payable / invoice entry.
- Processes miscellaneous
- Adheres to scheduled work hours with regular and predictable
- Serves as backup for Cashier, Storekeeper, and Accounts Payable Rep.
