Network Engineering Manager - (Fiber) - Macon, GA

• Engineering, design, testing and oversight of the installation of extensive Fiber Optic Network including Fiber to the Premise (FTTP) and Fiber to the home (FTTH) network expansion activities, equipment upgrades to include software releases and new technologies,
• Responsible for local-area networks (LAN), wide-area networks (WAN), network segments, and Internet and intranet systems.
• Oversite of the Central Office and Network Operations Team
• Creating, executing and managing project plans
• Plan and implement any improvement, modification, or replacement of network infrastructure components.
• Troubleshoots network performance issues and creates and maintains a disaster recovery plan.
• Monitor and adjust the performance of existing networks and continually survey the current computer site to determine future network needs.
• Ensure that service delivery systems are well documented, including network diagrams, accurate hardware/software inventories, troubleshooting and maintenance processes to ensure that adequate information and guidelines are provided for the field and support staff.
• Network capacity assessment and growth planning.
• Interact and negotiate with vendors, outsourcers, and contractors to secure network products and services.
