We are seeking a Florist. This position is responsible for designing, cutting and arranging live, dried, and artificial flowers and foliage for funeral services assisting in the arrangement of flowers for the memorial service of the departed. The successful candidate will have at least 1 year floral arranging, and professional communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Confers with client regarding price and type of arrangement desired
• Estimates costs and prices arrangements
• Packs and wraps completed arrangements
• Plans arrangement according to client's requirements, utilizing knowledge of design and properties of materials
• Trims material and arranges bouquets, wreaths, terrariums, and other items using trimmers, shapers, wire, pin, floral tape, foam, and other materials
• Addresses client family needs promptly and accurately
• Works with funeral directors or designers on any issues and resolutions
• Drives van or other vehicle to complete delivery

Requirements and Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience in floral design preferred
• Certificate from school of floral design preferred
• Ability to design and create floral arrangements
• Professional communication and customer service assistance
