Purpose of Position:

Provide intensive services to adults and children that are BHS patients in the Norton Sound Regional Hospital;  Act as liaison between patient and medical staff, BHS clinicians and case managers.

 

Uphold the organization’s vision, mission, and corporate values.  Demonstrate understanding of and compliance with organization’s policies, procedures, code of conduct and work rules.

 

Essential Functions:

  • Provide Crisis Intervention services for inpatient consumers under the supervision of a mental health clinician, with the advice and consent of the med staff that are providing consumer care, according to training and educational skills
  • Provide directed case management services for inpatient consumers under the supervision of a mental health clinician, with the advice and consent of the med staff that are providing consumer care, according to training and educational skills
  • Complete administrative and work related activities:   formal record of activities and expenditures; record keeping; information systems and public relations duties
  • Coordinate with Case Managers to provide advocacy and networking services for inpatient consumers
  • Continue to pursue training opportunities and engage in continuing education to completed training and demonstrated competencies
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
