What are the responsibilities and job description for the Patient Hostel Attendant position at Norton Sound Health Corp?
Purpose of Position:
Provide a safe, comfortable place for patients who are awaiting delivery or other hospital services by maintaining a healthy environment.
Uphold the organization’s vision, mission, and corporate values. Demonstrate understanding of and compliance with organization’s policies, procedures, code of conduct and work rules.
Essential Functions:
- Check in and out patients who have been authorized to stay at the hostel, working closely with travel clerks and assisting guests with transportation needs
- Clean guest rooms according to the procedures outlined - disinfecting, dusting and changing bedding
- Wash, dry, fold and put away linens
- Assist with the purchasing of groceries and meal preparation for maternity patients and help with the distribution of meals for other guests
- Document patient interactions as needed
- Perform other duties as assigned
