Position Purpose
Notre Dame High School seeks a passionate and innovative Math teacher to join our dedicated team for the 2024-2025 school year. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in various mathematics disciplines, from algebra to calculus. This position requires a knowledgeable and enthusiastic individual who can convey complex mathematical concepts in an accessible and engaging manner, integrating faith with reason, a commitment to fostering students’ intellectual, creative, and spiritual growth, and the ability to cultivate a student-centered, academically rigorous, and faith-based learning environment.
Essential Job Functions
- Design and implement an engaging Math curriculum aligned with state standards and the school’s educational goals.
- Develop students' skills in identifying, analyzing, and developing math concepts.
- Motivate students to read various publications to derive information, comprehend, and critically assess reading materials.
- Promote the development of skills in Math, inquiry, and critical thinking.
Required Skills, Knowledge, Abilities and Competencies
- Bachelor’s degree in Math or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- A valid teaching credential is preferred but not required.
- A valid teaching certificate with an endorsement in Math is preferred.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Previous teaching experience in high school Math or a related field is preferred.
- Familiarity with Catholic teachings and commitment to the mission of Catholic education.
- Proficiency in educational technology (e.g., iOS operating systems, Google Suite, educational apps), including learning management systems (e.g., Canvas, Grading) and student information systems (e.g., RenWeb).

- Commitment to ongoing professional growth and collaboration within a faith-based community
- Collaborate with Departments and Directors as necessary to achieve culture objectives.
Special Conditions of Employment
- Salaried Exempt
- Work hours are from 7:15 am to 3:00 pm Monday through Friday
- Evening and week-end hours will be required
- Hours will vary during peak seasons
- Additional duties may be assigned as needed
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $45,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
