Oak Park Place is hiring for a Cook for our beautiful Albert Lea location. This is an exciting opportunity to join our growing organization in offering exceptional care to seniors in a warm and caring environment. As a smaller company, we cater to our resident’s needs, and take pride in providing an employee friendly work environment. We offer great growth opportunities and are looking for the right candidate that we can work with and grow into a future leader with Oak Park Place. No late nights and every other weekend off!!! We are looking for a PT Cook, about 24 hours a week, mostly days.

Requirements
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED
- One year of kitchen or food preparation
- Experience working with seniors is preferred
- Knowledge of sanitation rules
- Ability to understand recipes and calculate measurements
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
- Understanding or ability to learn the use of commercial kitchen equipment

Summary
What you’ll be doing:
- Portion and serve food to facility residents
- Cook food according to menus, special dietary or nutritional restrictions, and number of portions to be served
- Clean and sanitize work areas, equipment, utensils, dishes, or silverware
- Verify that prepared food meets requirements for quality and quantity
