One Vision is seeking a dedicated and experienced HCBS Assistant Director to provide leadership and oversight to our Home and Community-Based Services (HCBS) residential programs. In this role, you will support individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities by ensuring exceptional service delivery, staff development, and compliance with regulatory standards.
What You'll Do:
As HCBS Assistant Director, you will:

Supervise and support a team of direct care professionals and team leaders.

Ensure high-quality, person-centered services that promote safety, dignity, and choice.

Oversee hiring, onboarding, training, performance evaluations, and disciplinary actions within your assigned team.

Conduct investigations and follow-up on health, safety, and quality concerns.

Participate in on-call coverage and respond to crisis situations as needed.

Collaborate with leadership on policy updates, training initiatives, and accreditation readiness.

Ensure services align with federal, state, and accreditation standards, including Iowa Administrative Code.

Foster positive relationships with individuals served, families, guardians, and external stakeholders.
What You'll Bring:

BA in Human Services (preferred), or a minimum of 5 years of progressively responsible experience in human services.

At least 3 years of experience supporting individuals with disabilities.

Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience in an HCBS or similar setting.

Strong leadership, communication, coaching, and problem-solving skills.

Knowledge of Medicaid HCBS waiver programs and applicable regulations.

Ability to manage multiple priorities, work independently, and respond to emergencies.

Moderate computer skills, including Microsoft Office and remote technology tools.

Valid driver's license and ability to travel within the community and homes as needed.
Additional Requirements:

Physical ability to assist individuals with mobility and daily living tasks.

On-call availability for evenings and weekends.

Maintain certification in CPR, First Aid, and Mandt (or willingness to obtain).
