What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior Tax Analyst position at OneTrust?
The Challenge
Expertly manage the processes to ensure accurate and timely tax filings and support strategic initiatives to improve global tax efficiencies.
Your Mission
- Prepare/Review all aspects of U.S. indirect tax filings including, but not limited to, sales and use tax, gross receipts tax, and property tax
- Assist with income tax compliance, extensions, and estimated taxes
- Assist with federal and international income tax provisions
- Partner with various teams, including accounting, legal, engineering, operations, and finance on a variety of initiatives
- Perform indirect tax account accruals, reconciliations, and related journal entries
- Review indirect tax requirements for new products and/or system implementations
- Recognize, anticipate, and resolve tax issues, and make recommendations as applicable.
- Work with the team to create, refine and document tax policies, processes, and system workflows
- File sales and use tax registration as applicable and perform necessary research to determine if any new filings are required
- Maintain Tax compliance calendar
- Assist with the resolution of all state tax notices
- Assist with miscellaneous projects as necessary
You Are
- Self-starter with strong analytical skills and working as a team player
- Ability to multitask, prioritize workload, and manage deadlines
- Outstanding organizational and communication (oral and written) skills, and independent research skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills and attention to detail are essential
Your Experience Includes
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in accounting, tax, or related field
- 2 years of experience in Tax including public accounting
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, advanced Microsoft Excel skills preferred
Extra Awesome
- CPA, JD or MST strongly preferred
- Experience with Avalara AvaTax/Returns, CertCapture, Salesforce, and Workday Financials, preferred
- Exposure to Indirect, Income Tax or International Tax preferred
