This is a Federal Work Study (FWS) position.
Student Ambassadors are part of the Admissions/Student Recruitment Offices, whom represent OCC at on/off-campus events.
The main role of Student Ambassadors is to conduct campus tours for prospective students, family and community members. They may also assist the Office of Student Recruitment by participating in student panels, meeting with visitors to provide a student perspective, and networking to help the community understand all that OCC has to offer. Additionally, Ambassadors may work in the office to assist with event preparation, office tasks, and assisting the Student Recruitment Staff with various projects.
Students sign up for shifts when they are available and schedules are flexible to accommodate classes and schoolwork.
Shifts are typically one to three hours in length with Open Houses being a full day (once a semester).
Job Requirements:
Must be a Work-Study Eligible Student in good academic standing (2.0 GPA or higher).
Must be able to work some evenings and Saturdays.
Ability to speak confidently in front of a group.
Ability to work independently.
Has a welcoming and positive disposition.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bilingual in English and Spanish.
Other languages will be considered.

Pay Rate: $15.00 /hr
