Optomi, in partnership with a leader in the healthcare industry, is seeking an experienced Network Engineer for their Greenville location. The right candidate will have experience with ExtremeNetworks, or a Cisco background combined with healthcare industry experience.
Responsibilities
- Support and maintain Layer 2/Layer 3 network infrastructure, including routing and switching.
- Configure and troubleshoot network devices, primarily within an Extreme Networks environment or similar platforms.
- Handle network requests and ensure reliable connectivity across multiple sites.
- Resolve network issues and support projects such as upgrades and new deployments; occasional travel required (mileage reimbursed).
- Collaborate with senior engineers on complex troubleshooting and design efforts.
Qualifications:
- 3 years of network engineering experience with strong L2/L3 fundamentals.
- Experience with Extreme Networks or other enterprise networking technologies.
- Knowledge of OSPF, BGP, and fabric-based networking.
- Exposure to wireless networking and network access control preferred.
- Strong troubleshooting skills; Cisco experience is a plus.
- Healthcare IT experience beneficial but not required.
Salary : $85,000 - $100,000
