Senior Product Manager – Workday HCM / HRIS
Remote - working EST hours
We are seeking a Sr. Product Manager to own the strategy, integrity, and evolution of our Workday HCM platform. This role functions as the product leader for an enterprise HR system, accountable for translating business investment into measurable outcomes. You will drive product direction, set standards, and make prioritization decisions across Workday HCM, ensuring solutions are designed holistically and sustainably. You will partner closely with HR leadership, Architecture, and Business Systems to deliver a scalable, high-quality Workday ecosystem supporting Benefits, Core HCM, and Payroll (in partnership with Finance).
Responsibilities:
Own and maintain the Workday HCM product roadmap, including:
- Core HCM
- Benefits
- Payroll (in collaboration with Finance)
- Define product standards, operating norms, and best practices
- Ensure Workday investments translate into business value and outcomes
Platform Health & Integrity
- Assess and maintain overall system health
- Review solution quality and identify gaps
- Proactively manage technical debt
- Evaluate existing implementations and recommend improvements
Prioritization & Decision Making
- Own and manage the Workday product backlog
- Balance competing stakeholder demands and make tradeoff decisions when capacity is constrained
- Shift the organization from reactive delivery to intentional product management
Solution Leadership
- Guide functional and technical solution design across:
- Workday objects
- Attributes
- Integrations
- Ensure solutions are architected end-to-end, not module-by-module
- Partner with Architecture to ensure scalable and maintainable designs
Cross-Functional Partnership
- Act as a strategic partner to:
- HR Leadership
- Business Systems Leadership
- Architecture
- Provide strong executive-level communication and influence
Qualifications:
- Hybrid background spanning HR systems and technology
- Experience evaluating and improving existing Workday implementations
- Strong problem identification and diagnostic skills
- Proven ability to operate at both strategic and detailed levels
- Executive presence with exceptional stakeholder management skills
- Payroll exposure strongly preferred (not required)
Salary : $155,000 - $158,000
