What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assembler II position at OTT HydroMet?
We are currently looking for an Assembler II to join OTT HydroMet at our production site in Sterling, Virgina.
We are excited to present this opportunity in our Assembly division of the production department. The work area presents opportunity to learn/work on box builds, assembling of units for test and finished goods, cable build and basic soldering operations. This role is a full-time opportunity and will give you real world skills to be part of a manufacturing operation.
In this role you will be able to:
Assemble the various parts into an end product with the help of available tools (hand tools, gluing stations, etc.)
Soldering connections (wiring and PCBs) with a high degree of accuracy to ensure the proper functioning of the scientific end product
Measure the dimensions of parts using mechanical and digital measuring equipment
Adjusting mechanical, optical and electronic compositions
Calibration & Testing of products using available measuring equipment and automated test programs and systems (climate chamber, accuracy tests, calibration setups, etc.)
Maintain a record of FPY (first pass yield) and escalate any issues to the relevant person(s)
Perform a visual inspection of the end product in accordance with procedures
learn and follow ESD procedures as well as learn Cable assembly and crimping processes
QUALIFICATIONS NEEDED:
High school diploma or GED, Associate degree preferred
Basic understanding of rework or hand soldering and a minimum of one-year experience in circuit board assembly (ability to read assembly drawings and follow work instructions
Ability to work with Cables, wire harness and box build processes

Salary : $35,100 - $44,500
