Responsibilities
- Supervise team through meetings, performance appraisals, staffing management, career development, and work assignments
- Provide feedback and maintain documentation for disciplinary actions
- Direct employee training and orientation on safety rules, policies, and procedures
- Maintain collective bargaining agreement compliance and handle grievances
- Review production reports and resolve operational problems to minimize costs
- Investigate deviations affecting schedules, costs, and quality; recommend corrective actions
- Requisition tools, equipment, and supplies; ensure employee understanding of available resources
- Collaborate with management, engineering, and quality control to resolve maintenance issues
- Review work procedures for safety compliance
- Develop and implement methods to improve operations and reduce costs
- Participate in safety inspections and housekeeping audits
- Comply with environmental, health, and safety requirements
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- 5 years manufacturing experience
- 5 years supervisory/managerial experience
- BS in Engineering or Business preferred but not required
- Presentation and communication skills
- Leadership skills creating engaged environments
- Lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and 6S implementation experience
- Technical understanding of manufacturing processes
- Analytical, problem-solving, and negotiation skills
- Financial literacy
