The Service Writer will be assisting the Service Manager and General Manager with the administrative portion of customer service within the service department. This position is responsible for ensuring the accuracy of all repair orders, from start to finish. The Service Writer will handle adding new customers, assisting technicians, and collecting customer payments. They will maintain internal and external customer relations and support the work of other departments within the dealership. Their purpose is to continue learning the business and gain the knowledge and experience necessary to work within the framework of the Parallel Ag business model.

Essential Functions:

- Ensure accuracy of open repair orders. Including but not limited to:
- Verify that each piece of customer equipment is in our system
- Prepares and finalizes the transaction with the customer
- File and monitor warranty payment process
- Maintain and follow-up open ROs
- Assist Service Manager with administrative duties
- Assist and work with General Manager on any equipment concerns
Qualifications
Experience, Education, Knowledge, Skills, and other Requirements
- Prefer High School Diploma/GED
- Prior Service Writer experience is preferred
- Proven ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships with co-workers and customers
- Ability to manage the completion of duties in a timely manner
- Must be able to work overtime as needed
- Display a high level of initiative, effort, and commitment towards completing work efficiently
- Demonstrate excellent customer service abilities
- Be knowledgeable with Microsoft Excel, Google Docs, and basic computer functions

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 am 5:00 pm. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
