The Human Resources team provides consultation partnerships for employment, employee relations, training and development, benefits, compensation, human resources information systems (HRIS), performance management, equal opportunity and labor relations. HR leads the Museum by demonstrating the behaviors in a human-centered environment that requires us to listen, understand, respond to and create dialogue opportunities to address needs, support opportunities for growth, and streamline processes for efficiency. HR's mission is to be forward-thinking and compassionate in our efforts to serve the Peabody Essex Museum campus community. We will strive to build awareness and inclusivity by acting with respect, integrity and fairness.
We have several strategic planning goals to achieve. Do you like working on a variety of projects and administrative duties? Are you interested in assisting with a compensation study, training and development, systems review, and other human resources initiatives? Join our team and a $1,500 stipend for your contributions! This internship is on-site for a minimum of 15 hours/week.
Specific Responsibilities:
1. Assist with Employee Handbook revisions, uploading to HR web site for intranet presence.
2. Assist with implementing an inclusive recruitment process.
3. Document processes as needed.
4. Assist with compensation study implementation support efforts.
5. Assist with organizing HR sponsored events.
6. Assist with check-ins for volunteer and unpaid intern programs.
