PROFIL North America is seeking a highly analytical and strategic individual to lead the Michigan Finance Shared Services Team and be responsible for overseeing our company’s financial planning and accounting operations. In this position, you will not only be an accomplished accountant and proactive with company finances but will also be commercially aware and provide advice on the best path of growth for our business. Your duties include establishing targets, developing budgets, performing financial analysis and developing talent in the financial department. The ideal candidate will be an excellent communicator with outstanding interpersonal and leadership abilities. Your goal will be to guide the company towards profitability and success.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead and further develop Michigan Finance Shared Services Team at 3 locations to drive further process improvement and ensure all policies and procedures are efficient and aligned with the business objectives
- Oversee the financial strategic planning of the company by evaluating its performance and potential risks, recognize patterns in company spending and revenue, and recommend solutions to any problem areas.
- Perform regular financial analysis, drill into budget deviations and variances, and maintain an ongoing communication with leadership team on performance to budget
- Perform / supervise monthly divisional & consolidated financial close, including completion of Monthly Financial Reports and Metrics Reports, prepare Weekly Cash Forecasting and authorize weekly wire transfers
- Track and minimize working capital requirements, conduct Inventory Reporting to further identify specific Excess, Inactive and Obsolete Inventory
- Strategic involvement for initiatives in product costing, pricing, sales trends, manufacturing trends and miscellaneous financial initiatives
- Develop and supervise internal controls and procedures to safeguard the compliance with laws, corporate rules and procedures as well as management objectives
- Administration of Commissions & Bonuses
