- Diagnose, perform repair, preventative maintenance, and service work on various District machines and golf course equipment, including but not limited to: two and four-cycle gasoline and diesel engines, specialized turf maintenance equipment, light and medium Duty Trucks, all mowers, tractors, UTVs, golf cars, small engines, electric/hybrid, and powered and non-powered equipment.
- Support the Vehicle/Equipment Service Technician workload as needed.
- Communicate effectively with vendors for the acquisition of parts and services.
- Utilize CMM software to record service and repair information.
- Perform field work as described, including equipment hauling.
- Perform repair welding as needed; utilizes oxy/acetylene torch.
- Repair flat tires. Wash and polish park vehicles and keep work area and shop vehicles clean and orderly.
- Follow all safety procedures that pertain to the duties performed. Support all aspects of the Park District's safety program.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
