Job Description
We Deliver the Goods:
The Transportation Training Supervisor is responsible for oversight and execution of the driver training program, including safety and delivery techniques for new Associates and refresher training for experienced Associates. This position leads the team of field driver trainers, reviews, updates, and executes training to comply with Company expectations, and identifies opportunities for overall training improvement.
Duties:
Supervises driver trainers, including coaching and development, selection, performance management, problem resolution, scheduling, and assignments.
Utilizes all company training guides, manual, checklists, tools, and processes to ensure compliance with policies, practices, and safety and DOT regulations.
Delivers hands-on training (field and classroom) to Associates to maximize knowledge transfer and effectiveness
Develops and enhances training as needed to augment existing training, materials, and tools. Analyzes effectiveness and recommends/implements improvement actions.
Provides ongoing and timely feedback to driver trainers and trainees
Executes safe and effective delivery of routes as required in conjunction with trainers and trainees.
Other duties to be assigned as deemed necessary.
Required Qualifications
1 - 3 Years
At least 1 year of route Driving experience with PFG; At least 2 years of route Driving experience overall
Route delivery driver experience specifically in foodservice distribution industry with in-depth knowledge of DOT regulations.
Computerized fleet operations management systems knowledge (i.e. PeopleNet)
Valid CDL A and DOT Health Card
