Position: Drumming Operator
1st shift Monday - Friday (10:00 am to 6:30 pm)
Base Pay: $16.00 - $18.00

POSITION SUMMARY:
The Drumming Operator is responsible for packaging, loading, and unloading material within our warehouse or storage facility using drums and totes. Operator must follow instructions to package various chemicals into drums and pails.
The Drumming Operator is responsible for packaging, loading, and unloading material within our warehouse or storage facility using drums and totes. Operator must follow instructions to package various chemicals into drums and pails.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Operate various process equipment including pumps, agitators, valves, and steam heating systems
- Produce Star glycerin from a mixture of glycerin and water
- Load and unload trucks using forklift and other powered industrial trucks/forklift
- Unload empty drums from trailers
- Operate drum fill machines
- Shrink wrap and palletize drums
- Verify and double-check final product packaged weight to insure it meets customer expectations
- Inspect and label drums, ensure proper closure, and store drums according to accepted standards
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
- A High School Diploma, GED, or willing to obtain GED within 6 months of hire
- Position-specific vocational education/experience, training, or certification is preferred
- Sit-down forklift certification required; requires successful completion of our in-house training course
- Experience working in a manufacturing or warehouse setting is preferred
- Prior experience utilizing hand trucks, forklifts, hoists, conveyors, pumps, or other handling equipment to move material to and from trucks and tanks is preferred.
- Able to work in extreme climates (high/low)
- Able to walk up stairs, climb ladders, and walk long distances
- Able to independently lift up to 50 lbs. on a frequent basis during shift.
