What are the responsibilities and job description for the Document Content Specialist position at Physicians Mutual?
Physicians Mutual is hiring for a full-time Documentation Content Specialist in our Word Processing Center. The selected candidate will be responsible for the establishment of corporate documentation standards and maintenance of the high-volume word-processing system database. Develops and updates all company online manuals. Works with other technical areas to resolve software issues and equipment malfunctions. Evaluates and recommends form modifications to Market Segmentation and ensures approved changes are incorporated into all applicable forms and communicates with various departments on revised and newly created forms. Communicates with G&I to ensure compliance with all state regulations. Responsible for reviewing letters, documents, forms and PowerPoint presentations for correct grammar, punctuation, spelling and formatting. Assists areas throughout the company with Microsoft Office issues/questions.
Job Qualifications:
- Associate degree in related discipline or an equivalent combination of education and work experience is required.
- Extensive knowledge in Microsoft Office software programs acquired through college/business school or work experience is required.
- Two to three years of software and hardware application experience is required.
- High degree of knowledge in Microsoft Word, Adobe Acrobat Pro and Robohelp is required. Knowledge of Photoshop and Visio is preferred.
- Ability to provide technical assistance regarding Microsoft Office products.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, prioritization, problem-solving and communication skills to effectively identify, analyze and evaluate the customer’s needs, solve problems and make decisions.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills required.
- Ability to work and adapt in fast-paced, dynamic environment with multiple simultaneous projects under established deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail and time management skills to perform multiple tasks and meet firm deadlines.
- Ability to plan and organize projects in a team-oriented environment.
- Must be self-motivated in a high production environment with the ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Excellent composition, writing/proofreading skills and punctuation.
- Ability to perform and maintain a professional and positive attitude to create effective working relationships.
- Ability to learn new software and train accordingly.
