About the Role:
We’re looking for a skilled Maintenance Technician to support night shift operations by maintaining and troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, and utility systems. This is a hands-on role in a high-paced manufacturing environment with responsibilities spanning from equipment repair and installation to mentoring junior techs and supporting continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide immediate troubleshooting support for downtime issues across the facility
- Perform electrical, mechanical, HVAC, and controls troubleshooting and repair
- Conduct preventive and predictive maintenance using CMMS documentation
- Maintain and repair plant equipment, piping systems, valves, compressors, pumps, etc.
- Support equipment installation and preventive maintenance program implementation
- Train and mentor junior maintenance staff and apprentices
- Interpret work orders, manuals, schematics, blueprints, and technical procedures
- Communicate effectively across departments during repair and intervention
- Apply RCA, 5S, and other CI tools to identify process improvement opportunities
- Follow GMP, safety, food quality, and sanitation standards at all times
- Work a schedule that includes on-call availability and weekend coverage
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or GED required
- 4 years of maintenance experience in a process manufacturing environment
- Boiler safety, ammonia safety, and NFPA-70E certifications required
- 2-year technical degree in mechanical and/or electrical field preferred
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Proficient in preventive/predictive maintenance on mechanical and electrical systems
- Strong electrical troubleshooting and proficient welding skills
- Skilled in equipment alignment and precision maintenance
- Advanced problem-solving and root cause analysis capabilities
- Strong communication and collaboration across departments
- Self-starter who can work independently and proactively
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $23.00 - $29.00 per hour
