Pay: $95,000–$115,000/year 10% bonus eligibility
Shift: Monday–Friday, on-call 24/7
Location: Portales, NM

About the Role:
Join a highly regulated union facility that produces a variety of dairy-based ingredients including condensed skim milk, milk protein concentrates, and powdered products. With 140 employees across four shifts, we’re looking for an experienced Production Manager to lead a team of six and drive safety, quality, and operational performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead daily production operations to meet customer demands and safety/quality standards
- Manage, train, and support production supervisors across multiple departments
- Monitor KPIs and drive continuous improvement initiatives to reduce cost and downtime
- Ensure SOPs, GMPs, and company policies are understood and followed by all staff
- Maintain readiness for audits and regulatory inspections
- Collaborate cross-functionally with HR, Quality, Safety, and Plant Leadership
- Manage employee relations including hiring, performance evaluations, and disciplinary actions
- Foster strong communication and a positive team culture
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required; bachelor’s degree preferred
- 5–8 years of manufacturing experience (food/beverage strongly preferred)
- Supervisory or management experience required
- Union environment experience preferred
- Strong problem-solving, team-building, and communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and production systems
