JOB SUMMARY:
The Rental Department is a fun and exciting way to join the ski industry and the Monarch family. The Rental Shop Technician should have a positive attitude, attention to detail, and be customer focused. This position will work directly with our guests in providing ski and snowboard equipment, adjusting equipment, and assisting in equipment education.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
The Rental Shop Technician responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
- Maintain a general knowledge of all Monarch Mountain services.
- Work as a team with other members of all Monarch departments to provide exceptional service.
- Properly fit guests with boots, skis/snowboards, helmets, and poles.
- Restock, sort, and maintain equipment in an organized manner.
- Perform routine facilities maintenance and cleanup.

Level 2 Additional Duties
- Perform basic ski and snowboard tuning.
- Complete all cash register and cash handling in a positive and accurate manner.
- Set up equipment for guest rental reservations.
Level 3 Additional Duties
- Experience in all ski and snowboard binding mounting required.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum Age: 16 (Minimum Age for Level 2-3: 18)
- Legal citizen of the United States or possess other proper work permit authentication.
- Ability to push, lift, and move up to 40 lbs.
- Some knowledge of skiing and/or snowboarding equipment use preferred.
- Requires reaching, grasping, bending and using hand tools, i.e.: screw drivers, pliers, ice scrapers, torque wrench, etc.
- Previous cashier experience preferred (Required for Level 2).
- Binding technician certification by binding companies (Level 2-3)
- Ability to operate tuning machinery (Level 3)
- Requires working at high elevation (up to 12,000’), with extended exposure to adverse weather conditions, such as severe cold, heavy snowfall, rain, strong winds and intense sun.
