JOB SUMMARY:
Sales Associate is a fun and exciting way to join the on-mountain ski industry and the Monarch family. This department is an upbeat, active department that provides opportunities to earn and play in the mountains. The Sales Associate works directly with the Sales Manager on developing and implementing sales strategies with the goal of increasing skier visits and ticket margins, to include follow-through and tracking. A professional presence, good communication skills and the ability to travel are critical.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
The Sales Associate responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
- Be an effective employee within the guidelines of department and company policies, procedures and values, in fulfillment of Monarch’s mission statement to “provide our guests with a quality, personalized mountain experience.”
- Work in conjunction with other employees and departments as part of the Monarch team.
- Promote Monarch services, tickets, season passes and promotions at offsite locations and events.
- Work in conjunction with marketing, help to identify, propose and establish new sales strategies; track effectiveness and determine program lifespan or modifications in order to support Sales goals.
- Provide solicitation, processing, fulfillment, follow-up and excellent customer service.
- Understand and work to achieve sales volume and revenue goals; report sales data as requested.
- Identify and escalate to the Sales Manager situations which require special attention.

- Be flexible with hours and days of work. Can work any hours during the business day including mornings, evenings or split shifts, and any day of the week (including weekends and holidays)
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum Age: 21
- Legal citizen of the United States or possess other proper work permit authentication.
- A High School diploma or GED is required; a college degree is preferred.
- A valid Driver’s License, and a good, company insurable driving record is required.
- Requires standing and walking on uneven, slippery surfaces, stretching, reaching, grasping and carrying up to 25 lbs.
- Requires sitting and working at a computer for long periods.
- Requires the ability to lift loads of up to 25 lbs.
- Requires travel for multiple days, in and out of state.
- Requires working at high elevation (up to 12,000’), with extended exposure to adverse weather conditions, such as severe cold, heavy snowfall, rain, strong winds and intense sun.
