As a nurse aide instructor, you will help develop compassionate, competent nurse aides and support program development.
Registered Nurse (RN) Nurse Aide Instructor Responsibilities:
- Prepare and maintain lesson plans and instructional materials.
- Manage and document attendance, teaching performance/progress and evaluations.
- Maintain required program hours.
- Schedule students for state competency exams and maintain organized records.
- Ensure compliance with all federal and state regulatory requirements, including OBRA, Pennsylvania Department of Education, and the Department of Health guidelines
- Participate in meetings, seminars, and training sessions to enhance program delivery.
- Report incidents, concerns, and student issues to the Program Administrator and Program Director in a timely manner.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for student grievances, offering guidance and resolution.
- Assist the Program Administrator and Program Coordinator with administrative tasks and program enhancements.
- A current, unrestricted PA RN license.
- Must possess Teaching the Educator/Train the Trainer Certification (TTE) to be considered.
- Approval from the Department of Education before teaching begins.
- At least 2 years of nursing experience, with 1 year in long-term care
- Previous experience teaching an approved NATCEP curriculum and clinical skills.
- Strong communication, leadership, and instructional skills
- Must be able to stand, walk, and supervise students in the classroom, lab, and clinical areas for extended periods
