Job Summary:
We are currently seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Custodian to join our team. As a Custodian, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and overall appearance of our facilities. This is a vital role in ensuring a safe and sanitary environment for both staff and visitors.
Responsibilities:
- Perform custodial duties such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming
- Clean and sanitize restrooms, break rooms, locker rooms, gym area, outside eating area, hallways
- Empty trash receptacles and replace liners
- Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and notify supervisor when restocking is necessary
- Perform floor care tasks including buffing, stripping, waxing, and polishing
- Assist with setting up and tearing down for events or meetings
- Report any maintenance or repair needs to the appropriate personnel
- Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines
Skills:
- Previous experience in custodial or commercial cleaning preferred
- Knowledge of proper cleaning techniques and use of cleaning equipment
- Ability to maintain a high level of cleanliness and attention to detail
- Strong time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively
- Knowledge of floor care techniques such as buffing is a plus
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Good communication skills to interact with staff and visitors
