Job Description
The Manufacturing Shift Supervisor is responsible for planning and managing the day-to-day allocation of resources (equipment, people, materials, and systems) to efficiently, safely and cost effectively achieve performance targets as agreed with Production Management.
This is a NIGHT Shift role for our team in Zephyrhills, FL.
Responsibilities:
- Optimizes KPIs by implementing, supporting, and leading Lean and Continuous Improvement (CI) activities focused on operational improvements.
- Identify and implement sustainable process improvements to enhance productivity, efficiency, and overall performance.
- Analyze production data, identify bottlenecks, and implement lean manufacturing principles.
- Monitor employee productivity and provide constructive feedback and coaching.
- Ensure Safety Standards are executed by all associates with Safety being the leading topic at all meetings with associates.
- Ensure that a high quality of products, services, housekeeping, and hygiene standards are maintained and improved in the area.
- Review of KPIs and Top Losses daily and ensuring action plans are focused on correcting the Top Losses.
- Support the Operations Manager on all key deliverables of the business.
- Ensure Daily Operational Reviews are executed at a high level with engagement from all responsible associates.
- Coach, mentor, and develop team members to meet current and future business requirements.
- Work directly with Technical Resource and Line Owners on key actions to drive business results.
Key qualifications include
- High School Diploma Required; Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Science or a related discipline preferred, or equivalent combination of certifications, training, and experience
- 2-5 years of experience in a leadership capacity in a high-speed manufacturing environment; bottling, Consumer packaged goods (CPG), or food and beverage preferred.
- Understanding of Safety Standards and ability to enforce those requirements.
- Excellent problem-solving ability
- SAP and PC Skills including MS Excel and Word
- Familiarity with quality and hygiene regulation
- Cost awareness of operations
- Ability to multi-task and delegate
- Effective communication skills
