This is a full-time, on-site position with competitive compensation and a dynamic team environment.
About the Role
As a Paralegal specializing in Real Estate Law, you’ll collaborate with staff to review and analyze documents, along with some drafting. This role is ideal for a motivated professional with experience in real estate closings, loan documentation, and transactional support.
Key Responsibilities
Commercial Real Estate & Transaction Support
- Review and analyze, and sometimes draft loan documents, including promissory notes, mortgages or deeds of trust, security agreements, and business loan agreements.
- Prepare mortgage or deed of trust assignments and discharges.
- Coordinate with title companies and attorneys for title insurance and legal document review.
- Draft modification documents in collaboration with counsel.
- Issue Notices of Default, Demand, or Maturity
- Record documents electronically or via mail.
- Maintain paper and electronic files and update internal loan tracking databases.
- Conduct online research using registries of deeds, tax offices, bankruptcy records, and credit bureaus.
- Draft documents for less complex transactions.
- Manage administrative tasks related to the above responsibilities.
Paralegal & Administrative Duties
- Analyze new loan files for assignment purposes.
- Collaborate with loan officers and borrowers on structured finance transactions.
- Assist in drafting Term Sheets and applicable legal documents.
- Work with title companies and internal audit teams to ensure file sufficiency and compliance.
- Support cross-departmental administrative actions.
Other Support
- Maintain and archive company storage unit databases
Qualifications
- 3–5 years of experience as a Real Estate Paralegal, Commercial Closing Paralegal, or similar role.
- Strong understanding of real estate and loan documentation.
- Experience with title review, document recording, and structured finance deals.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Comfortable working on-site in a collaborative, fast-paced and professional environment.
