Description
The VCIOs’ primary role is to develop and maintain business relationships with a portfolio of clients in order to strategically plan and combine the client’s technology alignment needs with their business goals. Providing planning, budgeting, and strategic direction to clients are all key functions in this role. VCIOs are responsible for gaining knowledge of their clients’ business use of technology. In addition to maintaining client relationships, in order to be effective vCIOs, one must collaborate and maintain excellent rapport with all of the service delivery areas including Support and Professional Services.
Responsibilities
- Regularly call or visit customer, building a relationship and learning their goals and pain-points
- Conduct Quarterly Business Reviews to discuss roadmap progress, goals accomplished, and budgeting
- Responsible for sign-off of Sales-to-Service handoff, ensuring required information has been gathered, and all correct expectations have been set for a smooth onboarding process
- Take part in the closing of sales contracts
- Oversee client onboarding process following warm introduction by Sales
- Responsible for continuous technology and best practice alignment with client business goals
- Review and provide monthly reporting of the health of the account, maintaining PSA/RMM health scores above a B-/80%
- Ensure engineering team has created maintenance schedules and are reporting on results
- Responsible for customer software license compliance and asset inventories
- Responsible for ensuring customer has support agreements for everything ProvenIT supports
- Responsible for ensuring customer is on a 3-5 year hardware refresh cycle to limit failing devices and unnecessary down-time
- Deliver client feedback on service delivery to heads of Support and Professional Services
- Assist client with selecting new technologies, in collaboration with Solutions Architects
- Continually research new technology and vendors, understanding how they relate to our clients
- Coordinate cross functional teams of Support, Professional Services, and Solutions Architects
- Create and deliver board level presentations that articulate business goals and how we help
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or other business related experience
- Five plus years of IT management experience
- Two plus years of experience working in an account management or consulting role preferred
- Strong knowledge of project management
- Ability to multi-task variety of assignments while working under non-negotiable deadlines; strong attention to detail
- Must maintain confidentiality of information, and be very dependable
- Excellent organizational and customer service skills
- Must be a self-motivated individual with a willingness to work well with others on a regular basis
