QED Systems, LLC, is currently recruiting a Technical Writer (Specialist) to join our team at APG, MD in support of our customer, Project Manager Intelligence Systems & Analytics (PM IS&A), Intelligence Systems (TITAN).
Duties
Less than 10% travel is expected for this position. Travel may include continental United States and outside continental United States locations.

Duties
- Review and edit specifications, plans, analyses, modeling, simulations, and reports.
- Support the development of documentation required for materiel release, type classification, basis of issue plans, and manpower requirements.
- Review, advise, and prepare comments to PM IS&A, when requested on logistics, readiness and training related reports, documentation, engineering change proposals, and issues pertaining to IPS and product support analyses.
- Support the development of draft logistics plans, procedures, policies, flowcharts, manuals, guides, and other associated technical documentation.
- Follow the 700-127, Department of the Army Pamphlet (DA PAM) 700-127, AR 700-142, etc.) when supporting the development of the program documentation.
- Detailed-oriented with excellent technical, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Experience must demonstrate the ability to conceptualize, format, structure, write, edit and finalize technical manuals, orders, specifications, modification work orders, and test plans, procedures and results.
- Direct experience in writing, editing and managing technical documentation and operator/maintenance manuals for military systems and equipment.
- ACTIVE CLEARANCE LEVEL REQUIRED: TS/SCI
- Bachelor’s degree in English or related field required.
- Five (5) years of direct experience of applicable military standards, specifications and test practices is required.
- Eight (8) years of quantifiable technical writing experience may substitute for a degree.
