R.H. Foster Energy, LLC is seeking a Category Manager to manage the design and production of planned marketing programs for all Convenience Stores and category management by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate supervisors.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Planning and Analysis:
- Assists in the development of category plans with measurable objectives for outcomes.
- Continually monitors and measures categories performance.
- Implement needed changes.
Financial Accountability.
- Responsible for accurately managing profitability for assigned categories.
- Analyzes sales, inventory levels and margins.
- Determines purchasing decisions and timing.
- Facilitates financials analysis and implements tactics to address concerns to include but not limited to Gross margins, space to sales, return on investment.
Supplier Management:
- Actively manages category suppliers.
- Participates in purchase negotiations.
- Determines timing and quantity of purchases.
Product Management
- Manages category selections.
- Responsible for timing and quantity of purchases.
- Accountable for efficient Inventory Levels
- Responsible for planogramming, pricing and promotions.
- Responsible for the overall category performance.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of these units. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or five to ten years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Project Management software, Database software, Internet software, Inventory software, Spreadsheet software, Email software, and Word Processing software.
