Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting medical staff and ensuring high-quality patient care. This position requires a compassionate individual with strong organizational skills and the ability to communicate well with patients.
Duties
- Administer medications as prescribed by healthcare providers, ensuring accuracy and adherence to safety protocols.
- Assist in the management of day-to-day patient care.
- Measure and record vital signs.
- Provide exceptional patient service by addressing patient messages and assisting with patient coordination. Significant load of taking calls, and calling patients.
- Support provider by completing patient intake for examinations and assisting physicians during procedures.
- Administer IV's, draw blood, IM/Sub Q injections.
- Assist provider with prescription authorizations.
- Utilize billing coding for accurate documentation of completed procedures.
Experience
Candidates should possess experience or training in the following areas:
- Medication administration techniques and protocols.
- IV certified.
- IM/Sub Q injection trained.
- Phlebotomy certified.
- Knowledge of vital sign assessment and documentation practices.
- Experience in providing patient service within a clinical environment.
- Proficiency in medical coding systems is preferred but not mandatory.
