Inverness Medical Imaging is looking for a full-time Mammography Technologist for a dynamic outpatient Imaging Center.
As an Mammography Technologist you must be capable of working independently in a fast-paced outpatient imaging center; have a thorough understanding of all aspects of mammography imaging, radiation safety and related patient care; must be available to work day shifts, Monday through Friday.
Additionally, you will:
- Greet patient and provide instructions on procedure
- Obtain pertinent medical history for exam
- Positions patient and adjusts equipment, selecting length and intensity for radiation exposure on individual basis.
- Assists physicians to perform image-guided diagnostic and invasive procedures.
- Maintain exam rooms and maintain adequate supplies.

What you will need to be successful:
- Ability to communicate effectively and work with people of various diverse backgrounds including the elderly population
- Extensive knowledge of mammography imaging and positioning
- Ability to learn and grow with new technology
- Customer service skills
- CPR certification
- Associate’s degree (A.A.) in Radiologic Technology program or equivalent from two-year College or technical school
- ARRT registered technologist (ARRT)(R)
- Completion of Advanced Registry in Mammography (ARRT)(M)
- Florida State Licensure
- Minimum 1 year related experience
