We are currently hiring for a Full-time Float Direct Support Professional to join our team!
Applicant Must:
- Provide different levels of support to people with disabilities to meet their needs
- Demonstrate ability to approach challenging situations with a calm approach
- Be able to drive (19 years old, valid driver’s license, have insured vehicle, driven 2 years)
- Be dependable, reliable and willing work a flexible schedule including weekends, holidays and evenings
- Be willing to assist with personal cares
- Be able to complete on-going paid training requirements
- Pass medications
Duties include but are not limited to:
- Assist with daily living skills (cooking, cleaning, laundry, budgeting, shopping, hygiene, banking etc.)
- Assist with community events (concerts, sporting events, Special Olympics, Adult learning classes, casino trips, parties, dances, etc.)
- Support people to achieve their personal goals
Float hours to include days, evenings, weekends, holidays, possible overnights and would be in the on-call rotation.
Wage and compensation:
- $18.00 hour/DOE!
- Opportunity for $.50 cent wage increase in first 90 days of employment
