Job description

We are looking to add some team members to our team at the Residence Inn. If you are a college student, this job maybe perfect for you. You are more than welcome to do homework during your down time on your shift. We offer fun compensations for getting guest to sign up for Marriott Rewards. Gift Cards, Snacks, Etc. After 30 days you will be able to use the Marriott Employee discount at any Marriott property across the world. Shifts are 7am-3pm, 3pm-11pm with the option of learning how to do overnight shifts with a wage difference. This is a laid-back fun atmosphere, where all the guest needs come first.

The perfect candidate would have open availability.

Part Time: 8-16 Hours a week, Mandatory weekend availability

Job Overview

Responsible for attending to the need of all guests especially during check-in and check-out times. They are often the first face a guest sees, so their role in the organization is critical.

Essential Job Functions

· Providing information to guests about policies, services, and amenities

· Responding to requests from guests for assistance and information about the local area (directions, places to eat, etc.)

· Processing all types of payments

· Selling rooms to “walk-in” customers

· Making reservations in person and over the phone

· Inform housekeeping staff of room availability

· Respond to guest complaints

· Answer the phone

· Balancing the cash drawer

· Making any correction to accounts that may be necessary

· Entering/changing reservation information on the computer system

· Posting charges to guest accounts

· Ensure guest safety

Additional Responsibilities

· Any other duties assigned by Supervisor

Qualifications & Requirements

· Must be able to problem solve in order to resolve guest issues that may arise

· Able to work in a fast-paced environment

· Exceedingly organized and efficient with the ability to multitask

· Computer literate

· Positive attitude

· Desire to deliver outstanding customer service

· Must be detail-oriented

· Must be able to problem solve in order to effectively deal with internal and external customers

· Will be required to work holidays and weekends Holidays will have sign ups.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $14.00 per hour
