River Edge is actively searching for a full-time Security Guard. In this role, you will be tasked with securing the premises and personnel by staying on patrol, monitoring surveillance equipment, performing building inspections, guarding entry points, responding to codes to de-escalate crisis situations, and verifying visitors. Secures and protects facilities in case of fires, natural disasters, or other hazardous events. Answers alarms and investigates disturbances. Escorts or drives motor vehicles to transport individuals to specified locations and to provide personal protection. Inspects facility for fire, safety, or environmental hazards. Responds to fires, natural disasters, or other hazardous events, Delivers verbal warnings of rules infractions or violations. Reports suspicious activity to Security Captain and/or designated authorities. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications High School Diploma or GED Must be 21 years of age or older. Minimum of one year of professional security experience, preferably in the mental health field. Flexibility to work the available schedule, including overtime, weekends, and holidays as required.   Must possess a valid Georgia Driver's License   Competencies: Proficiency in Security Systems: Ability to operate surveillance equipment and security systems effectively. Emergency Response Knowledge: Understanding of emergency response protocols and crisis management procedures. Access Control Management: Familiarity with access control systems and procedures for verifying visitors. Effective Communication: Excellent communication skills for interacting with colleagues, visitors, and de-escalating confrontational situations. Situational Awareness: Strong attention to detail and situational awareness to identify and respond to security threats effectively.
