Accounting Clerk

We are looking for an Accounting Clerk to join our team in Edwardsville, Kansas. In this role, you will handle both accounts receivable and payable tasks, ensuring accurate financial processing and organization. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to managing invoices, payments, and reconciliations.

Responsibilities:
• Verify the accuracy of invoices and process sales invoices with proper coding.
• Record daily cash transactions and maintain organized credit files for customers.
• Reconcile monthly machine counts against the sales journal and generate inventory release reports.
• Issue weekly vendor payments and file supporting documents for completed transactions.
• Match invoices to purchase orders, investigate discrepancies, and code vendor invoices and miscellaneous bills.
• Process purchase entries and create monthly accounts payable schedules.
• Review freight invoices for accuracy, dispute incorrect charges, and compute customer freight costs.
• Pay freight bills, maintain detailed freight logs, and provide quotes to customers.
• Generate end-of-month financial reports for review by the Controller.
• Proficiency in managing accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
• Skilled in data entry and accurate record-keeping.
• Experience in processing invoices and reconciling discrepancies.
• Familiarity with D365 or similar accounting software.
• Strong organizational abilities to maintain financial records.
• Effective communication skills for interacting with customers and vendors.
• Ability to analyze and resolve billing and freight-related issues.
• Detail-oriented approach to ensure financial accuracy and compliance.
