Position Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Receivable Clerk to join our client's finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for processing and managing accounts receivable transactions, ensuring accuracy and adherence to internal policies and procedures. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Handle the processing, coding, and entry of A/R debit and credit memos, ensuring accuracy and thoroughness.
Record cash receipts, handle miscellaneous payments and tax refunds, and reconcile reports for cash receipts.
Upload invoices to customer websites and keep transaction records current.
Carry out accounts receivable collection activities as instructed, log collection efforts in the system, and update relevant parties on progress.
Oversee, document, and manage orders placed on hold to ensure prompt resolution.
Review accounts receivable aging weekly to identify and follow up on overdue accounts.
Investigate credit trade and banking references for new customers to evaluate their creditworthiness and set payment terms.

Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree in accounting or related field preferred.
- 1-3 years of experience in accounts receivable or related financial role.
- Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel, and experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks).
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and financial record-keeping.
