Business Intelligence Analyst

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Power BI Analyst to join our team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in transforming raw data into meaningful insights that drive business decisions. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI. Your expertise in SQL will be instrumental in extracting, transforming, and loading data from various sources.

Responsibilities:

Data Extraction and Transformation:

• Write complex SQL queries to extract and transform data from various sources, including databases (e.g., SQL Server, Oracle), data warehouses, and cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS).
• Perform data cleansing, validation, and transformation activities to ensure data quality and accuracy.
• Develop and maintain ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes for data integration.

Power BI Development:

• Design and develop interactive and visually appealing dashboards and reports using Power BI.
• Create DAX measures and calculations to perform complex data analysis and provide meaningful insights.
• Utilize Power BI features such as row-level security, data alerts, and subscriptions to meet specific business requirements.
• Optimize Power BI models for performance and scalability.

Data Analysis and Reporting:

• Analyze data trends and patterns to identify key performance indicators (KPIs) and uncover actionable insights.
• Prepare and present data-driven reports and presentations to stakeholders, including executives, managers, and analysts.
• Collaborate with business users to understand their data needs and translate them into effective visualizations.
• Proactively identify areas for data improvement and process optimization.

Data Governance and Management:

• Adhere to data quality standards and best practices.
• Maintain proper data documentation and metadata management.
• Ensure data security and compliance with relevant regulations.

Qualifications

Education:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Business Intelligence, or a related field.

Experience:

• 2 years of experience as a Business Intelligence Analyst or a similar role.

Technical Skills:

• Strong proficiency in SQL (including T-SQL) with experience in writing complex queries (joins, subqueries, window functions).
• Advanced knowledge of Power BI Desktop and Power BI Service.
• Experience with data modeling, DAX, and Power BI visualization techniques.
• Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and ETL processes.
• Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS) is a plus.

• Business Intelligence Analyst role requires a minimum of 3 years of work experience in a similar role or field.
• Solid analytical skills are mandatory for understanding and interpreting complex business data.
• Proficiency in Business Intelligence (BI) tools and techniques is essential for this role.
• The candidate should possess strong SQL skills to manage and manipulate datasets.
• Experience with Power BI is necessary for creating and managing BI solutions.
